Learning by Doing
Learning by Doing: Experiential Learning in Formal School Education is a project that aims to transform school education for students ages 15 to 18 (and other age groups through transfer) into a more interesting and engaging experience through hands-on learning so that, through the application of experiential learning methodologies, they acquire critical thinking, learning skills and civic competences for life.
As Experiential Training Center Association (Turkey), VisMedNet Association (Malta), Europroodos (Greece), Colegio do Sardao (Portugal), Innovative Education Centre (Austria) and Fundacja Europejski Instytut Outsourcingu (Poland) we want to provide a conceptual framework to implement experiential learning to formal education with this project.
Results and resources:
Our methodological framework is informed by the latest advancements in experiential learning theory, particularly the Experiential Learning Cycle. It encompasses cutting-edge trends in experiential learning, offering a diverse range of practical activities and techniques. This framework serves as a guide for educational program and curriculum designers, enabling them to create formal education programs that are in harmony with the principles of experiential learning.
